“The Bathurst 12 Hour is one of my favourite events on the racing calendar, and I’m so glad we were able to postpone the event to later in the year to accommodate for the international teams,” said van Gisbergen, who won the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2016. Having taken part in the event on three occasions before, 2022 marks the second time that Triple Eight will compete independently, as well as backing from MANN-FILTER, the premium filtration brand of the global filtration expert MANN+HUMMEL, who supported the team’s entry in 2020 when they clinched a podium finish in their Pro entry. Joining the team’s Supercars stars is Prince Jefri Ibrahim, the team’s ‘Am’ driver and current GT World Challenge Australia pilot. The Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be piloted by 2021 Supercars Champion Shane van Gisbergen, and Red Bull Ampol Racing rookie Broc Feeney as the entry’s ‘Pro’ drivers.
Triple Eight Race Engineering is excited to announce their Pro-Am entry for the 2022 LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour, scheduled for May 13-15.
